A Note from Kristine:

Family matters are deeply personal, multidimensional, and frequently charged with emotion. Regrettably, the legal system can be complex and challenging for individuals to navigate on their own. I believe it is my duty to genuinely understand my clients and every detail of their situation, enabling me to guide them through one of the most trying periods of their lives. Sometimes, this involves litigating their case in court, while at other times, it means engaging in negotiations outside of court to mediate an agreement that meets my client’s needs.

REBECCA B. RIPLEY, Esquire
Founding Partner

Rebecca, a native of Ohio, graduated magna cum laude from Denison University before moving to Washington D.C. to pursue a career in theater. Eventually, she refocused her path and attended law school at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, graduating in 2007—a decision that reassured her parents. Rebecca discovered her passion for family law during her second year of studies, mentored by Judge John F. Fader II.

Before co-founding Rea | Ripley Law, Rebecca served as a principal litigator at one of the nation's largest family law firms. Her practice spans divorce, child custody, parenting and separation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, alimony, division of marital property, child support, visitation, paternity, UCCJEA matters, and jurisdictional disputes. Rebecca specializes in high-conflict cases involving custody, property, and support issues. She has also shared her expertise in litigation practices and assisted reproductive technology within the realm of family law through continuing education programs. Rebecca has successfully handled divorce and custody cases across 18 Maryland jurisdictions and the Court of Appeals.

Rebecca is recognized by her colleagues as a Super Lawyer.

A Note From Rebecca:

During a consultation, a prospective client once asked me to liken my litigation style to a breed of dog. While the expectation might have been for me to choose an aggressive breed, I opted for a herding breed instead. Much like a herding dog gathers and organizes livestock, my approach to litigation involves gathering and synthesizing all the facts and issues of a case. I strive to understand each client's unique needs and goals, educating them about the law and legal processes, and collaborating to craft a strategy that aligns with their objectives while considering the bigger picture. This holistic approach ensures that we navigate the legal landscape effectively and achieve the best possible outcomes.
